JOB TITLE:  Janitorial Environmental Services

DEPARTMENT:  Facilities

 STATUS:                      Part-time, Non-Exempt   

REPORTS TO:              Facilities Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY The Janitorial Environmental Services under the supervision of the Facilities Engineer is responsible for cleaning all building areas.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.       Monitors building and grounds to ensure a neat and clean presentation and environment.

2.       Performs various cleaning and light maintenance activities to include sweeping and mopping  surfaces, polishing as necessary all floor space, and vacuuming carpeted areas.

3.       Follows all written and verbal instructions.

4.       Ensures all cleaning supplies are stored in appropriate areas.

5.       Cleans restrooms to include disinfecting toilets, sinks, and floors, and restocks restroom supplies as needed.

6.       Empties all trash cans on a daily basis and disposes of trash in designated areas. 

7.       Cleans all windows and glass surfaces in all rooms daily.

8.       Dusts all counter tops, fixtures, partitions, and furniture as needed.

9.       Maintains all cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners, trashcans, mop buckets, and cleaning supplies.

10.   Responsible to maintain security of building during and after completed shift by activating alarms and locking doors and gates as directed.

11.   Completes daily and weekly maintenance checklists.

12.    Reports any damage to the facility or the need for repairs to supervisor.

13. Reports emergency maintenance problems and/or environmental hazards to Facilities Engineer immediately  

Qualifications:   Previous experience in janitorial/environmental services.   

ADA SPECIFICATIONS  

Ø       Must be able to utilize cleaning equipment.

Ø       Must be able to bend frequently and lift over 25 lbs.
