At BGCGW, we know the importance of demonstrated character and leadership qualities in every individual. We encourage our youth to coordinate and perform various community service projects; our Torch and Keystone Club programs engage our members in actively making a difference in their Clubs, neighborhoods, and schools whenever possible.
In honor of Patriot Day 2010 (9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance), our Torch and Keystone members would like to show support of those who demonstrate their character and leadership qualities EVERY day through their service in the U.S. Military. Through Operation: GiveMore, we will recognize and thank U.S. troops through action as we send care packages directly to them to be distributed, specifically, to those soldiers who do not receive goods, letters, or even simple postcards from home.
YOU can support Operation: GiveMore and help the Torch and Keystone Clubs reach our organizational goal of shipping 500 packages consisting of various goodies from toiletries to recreational items. SPONSOR A CLUB NEAR YOU! YOU CAN HELP....
WITH DONATIONS: Hold a donation drive at your office, school, or community organization on our behalf to provide bulk items matching those on our "Wish List for Troops."
WITH SHIPPING: Provide monetary donations to underwrite the cost of shipping each package. Your generous contribution of $100, $75, or even $25 is a tremendous help in getting each package delivered to a deserving U.S. Military warrior. A minimum of $25 will cover the cost of shipping at least 2 packages!
PLEASE READ: We appreciate ALL donations; however, we must remain in compliance with guidelines as set by the United States Postal Service. As such, we cannot accept items that are not included in the list below. Some examples of unacceptable items can include: firearms, knives, tobacco, alcohol, chemicals, liquids, perishable foods, can food/dry goods (other than those listed below). If you are unsure about an item, call before donating.
