Over 500 Guests Pay Tribute, Support Pathways to Great Futures for Local Youth

WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 4, 2010) – Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington (BGCGW) recognizes Oliver T. Carr Jr., A. James Clark and B. Francis Saul II for their strong commitment to the Washington community and significant contributions to youth and families at its 6th Annual Youth in Real Estate Luncheon on Thursday, October 7 at 11:30 a.m. at the Grand Hyatt Washington.

“We are so pleased to honor these three pillars of the community,” said Pandit Wright, BGCGW President & CEO. “Not only do these individuals serve as role models to our youth and teens, but they have also helped shape the Washington region’s landscape through their numerous professional accomplishments and philanthropic activities. Their efforts to provide area youth the chance they deserve to achieve their full potential as future adults, responsible citizens, and productive leaders are a shining beacon for us all.”

Beginning in 2004, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington’s Annual Youth in Real Estate Luncheon is an opportunity to pay tribute to local real estate industry leaders, developers, brokers, and architects who have demonstrated a strong commitment to making our community a better place for our youth by making significant contributions to youth and to Boys & Girls Clubs in the metropolitan Washington area. “Now more than ever, it’s so important to invest in young people and ensure they have the tools necessary to pursue their goals and aspirations,” said Oliver T. Carr III, Event Chairman and Carr Properties President & CEO. “I am delighted to work with BGCGW again to support its club members and provide pathways to opportunity for local youth. “
