Club Tech: Skill Tech - Basic Training: Club members engage in an animated tutorial and instructor led lesson that teaches them how to navigate, use, and get familiar with Windows and Microsoft software programs such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
National Fine Arts: Club members create artwork in categories such as monochromatic drawing, multicolored drawing, oil or acrylic, pastels, watercolor, sculpture, collage, mixed media, and print making. Selected artwork are submitted to a local exhibit, and if advanced, a regional or national exhibit.
FitU: FitU is a BGCGW program that focuses on 3 areas: nutrition, fitness, and wellness. Nutrition: Club members learn the importance of healthy eating habits, portion control, and how to prepare nutritional snacks. Fitness: Club members participate in upbeat, fun, and interactive activities such as our cycling-class. Wellness: A positve sense of well-being is instilled in Club members through physical, mental, and emotional health.
SMART Moves: Club members learn how to make wise choices about drugs and sexual involvement and better navigate the challenging journey from childhood to adulthood. Club members engage in discussions, role-playing, practicing resistance and refusal skills, strengthening decision making skills, and analyzing media and peer influence skills.
Keystone Club: Keystone Club is a BGCA National Program where Club members ages 14-18 participate in small group leadership development clubs. Keystone Club members elect officers, choose their own activities and plan and implement community service projects. The 6 areas of Keystone Clubs are: Service to Club and Community, Education & Career Exploration, Character & Leadership Development, Unity, Free Enterprise, and Social Recreation.
Power Hour: Club members spend 1 hour doing their homework when they arrive at the Club. Staff members help and assist Club members with their homework. Books, supplemental worksheets, board games, puzzles, etc. are at hand for Club members that have completed their homework or do not have any for the day. Club members must finish their homework before joining/participating any other activity or program area.
