Funds raised from
our Steak N Stake Dinner go towards supporting our youth development
services, allowing us to enhance programs, expand our reach, and increase
the number of youth we provide a safe and positive experience to, every
day. Many of our most esteemed community leaders and business associates will
be in attendance to honor our youth. Be a part of the celebration by giving

Location

The 20th Annual Safeway Barbecue Battle is a celebration of great food, music and family fun. To date this award-winning event has raised over 1.2 million dollars to help support Boys& Girls Clubs of Greater Washington. Taste mouth-watering BBQ from across the country, enjoy free food samples, 30 top bands playing rock, R&B, reggae and blues, cooking demonstrations with celebrity chefs, interactive exhibits like NBA basketball, and much more. Over 120,000 attendees are expected.

This fall fundraising event is a fun evening showcasing the talents of our youth. We expect nearly 400 guests to help make this year’s gala a night to remember. Cocktails and silent auction, dinner and a live auction are followed by a fabulous performance by the five winners of the BGCGW Talent Search (months of competitions at local and regional levels, concluding with the finals at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage). On display will be original works created by BGCGW aspiring artists and winners of the ICON Visual Arts Competition.
