Metropolitan Board of Directors
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington is proud to be led by an energetic board of prominent local business and civic leaders. These members provide substantial expertise, commitment and support in leading BGCGW as the premier youth-serving agencies in the Greater Washington area.
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities of Metropolitan Board Members include raising a minimum of $10,000 annually by individual giving or by helping to fundraise. Our members open doors for funding from foundations, government grants and contracts, wills, trusts, contributions from individuals and businesses, individual and corporate United Way designations, event sponsorships and more.
Each member pays $300 in annual dues. Dues cover meals/meeting room fees, a subscription to Boys & Girls Clubs of America's quarterly publication "Connections," board mailing costs and miscellaneous expenses. Each Metropolitan Board Member is also encouraged to attend four board meetings, serve on a minimum of one committee and be an active member of that committee.
