Michael McDonald, Regional Vice President of Government Relations

Michael McDonald brings 9 years of experience with the Movement in Unit and Executive Director positions in North Carolina as well as Regional Service Director at National. This has afforded him a range of opportunities – from bringing new clubs on line as an Executive Director, to providing support to over 40 member organizations as RSD. Since then he has worked on strategy and execution of capital campaigns, endowments and fundraising in his 6 years as a Vice President at Diversified Fundraising Services, LLC,  followed by 2 years as Director of State Initiatives for the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation in Baltimore. The last 2 years have found Mike back in the classroom working with teens as an AP history, world geography and economics high school teacher.

Mike is a husband and father of 2 boys; he and his family are new residents of Falls Church, VA.
